2018 July 4th Writing Contest
To commemorate the Granville 4th of July Celebration and the Wildwood Park Rebuild with parade theme "Swing into Summer", the Kiwanis Club of Granville proudly hosting its annual 4th of July writing contest.
Share your stories about Wildwood Park Playground! We are in the process of completing Wildwood Playground (2nd Generation). During the week of construction in April by over 1,000 community volunteers, many stories were shared by folks who built the first playground. Others had stories from their memories playing on the playground or with their families.
We will accept original short stories and poems (limit 500 words) about Wildwood Park Playground. Please include your name, age (if under 18), and current address. Winning submissions may be shared and parts/or whole republished in local news and website media. By submitting to the contest, the author allows the committee to share their works publically. Limit one short story and one poem per person.
A panel of judges will select winners in various categories (to be determined). Prizes include $50 prizes and gift certificates from local businesses. We will archive all submissions and welcome writing of all levels.
